*Flashback (A while ago)*
You were walking down the hall… A huge hall, full of lockers…
"215,214…aaah 213" You mumble as you find your locker….
"Good morning, sunshine, the sky greets you~" , a voice sounded from the next locker….
"Oh Eliza, stop it…. We got it… You are in love….  But jeez, get a grip…."
"I can't… I really can't _______.... Roderich is so kind and classy and stuff… I love everything about him… His glasses, this silly curl on the top of his head… Everything!"
"I know…I know… "
*Meanwhile a few lockers further…*
"Kesesese~ of course ladies… There is enough awesomeness for all of you…  Gilbert is here… kesesese~ "
Said a boy with a lot of girls around him…Yep… That was Gilbert 'Awesome' Beilschmidt… One of the most popular kids in the school, along with his gang Francis Bonnefoy and Antonio Fernandez Carriedo, also known as the "Bad Touch Trio"…  Every single girl was like "O.m.g., O.m.g. He looked at me… I cannot believe it" and they considered them as prizes… Only you and Elizabeta, your best friend, thought they were just some kind of players that are completely shallow and nothing else but a waste of time… You both despised them and you found them quite obnoxious…
"Pffft… Look at him… I can't stand him… And I still wonder how all these girls go crazy about him… I mean, he is just a guy, after all…"
"Oh, Eliza …. Awesome Gilbert?  Just a guy? Shame on you… " You couldn't get a guy that calls himself  'awesome' seriously…
Eliza chuckled and you both started walking, passing the group of the "Awesome king and his fangirls"…
In your class, you were sitting next to Eliza and you started laughing about random stuff as you always did…  Then Gilbert entered in, with his bunch of girls…
"Kesese~ and then I told him: mine is 5 meters, search it in your @$$.... kesesese"
The girls started laughing in unison…
"Ohnohnohnon, You pwned him, mon ami~"
"We were there… This amigo over here knows how to handle fights…"
You couldn't help but get disturbed by all this noise…
"God, I wish they could all shut up, just for once… I can't stand them any more…"
"Oh, chill _____... It will be fine" Eliza was disturbed too, but managed to keep her restraint…
The class finished and you were talking with Eliza while walking out of the class… Suddenly, something hits your back… You turn your head and see Gilbert who hit you by mistake while "fighting" with his friends, just like guys do… Your face was like what the heck? But you got over it…
"Oh, I'm sorry frau, are you ok?…"
" Yeah, fine…." That's what you said and turned to leave…
He paused… He was used to get spoiled… And just a "Yeah, fine..."?
He followed you and said: "Are you sure you're ok? If not, the awesome me can always give you a hug…"
"Nah, I'm ok…"  
He was confused…
"What about a kiss on the cheek?"
"Nah…"
"A kiss on the  lips?"
"No…"
"Hm… What ab-"
"I said, I'm fine…!" You just wanted to go to your next class and talk with your friend Eliza who was next to you watching, quiet…
"B-but…" He was confused… How could a girl resist his awesomeness?
From that moment he would do everything to make you pay attention to him…
The next class:
"O.m.g. ______ what was that?"
"I have no damn idea…"  Well, that was true…
"He was so persistent… "
"I know right?"
"Helloooo~ I know we didn't do a good start back there, but we can always start over… I am Gilbert…"  The pale-haired guy said next to you while giving you his hand…
You were confused… What was happening???
"__-_______"
"Well, _______ what about joining us after the class… Me and the rest….huh?" he said and then he winked…
"N-nah…. No thanks…"
"Why not? It will be fun… Besides, everyone wants to join the Bad Touch Trio…" He said it like it was obvious… God he was such a show-off… That line just pissed you…
"hmmm…. No thank you…" You smiled slightly and it was like you were saying: "Ok, now leave us alone" and then turned back to Eliza… "What were we talking about?"
"e-ehm… I can't recall…"
When it was time to go to and eat, he came to the table you were sitting with Eliza and Roderich… He sat next to you and started over again…
"Hey Frau… Do you want some company?"
"No thanks, I have Roderich and Eliza…"
"Yep, I can see that, but they are not as awesome as I am…"
"They are to me…"
"Don't tell me you are gonna ditch me for them… Do you?"
" Oh yes I am…"
He left while mumbling and frowning "Definitely not awesome, man…."
You looked at Eliza and Roderich "I am sorry guys… I dunno what's wrong with this guy…."
Things like these kept happening for a while until…
"Ok, seriously ________ why do you keep ignoring and rejecting my offers?" He was despaired… He didn't know what else to do… It was not like he was facing problems with his… social life, that often…
"'Cause…" You said while shrugging…
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"By that, I mean that I am not stupid and I know you are doing all these stuff just because I don't react like one of your groupies…"  And then he paused….  He thought 'Is this true?' And then he realized that this was the reason he started to pay attention on you…
"Well….I…."
"What? Don't tell me that I'm lying…"
"N-no… Not exactly…"
"What 'not exactly'? You think I don't know what kind of player you are? Or the fact that you refer to yourself as 'awesome'? I mean what's with that?"
He frowned: "I am awesome and I know it… What's your problem with that?"
"I have none 'Mr. Awesome'…." You wanted to slap him so damn hard…
"FINE!"
"PERFECT!" You said and you both started walking to opposite directions…
When he was a bit further he turned and said: "Oh and I DID pay attention to you only because I wanted you as a puppy…."
"I DON'T GIVE A SH*T!"
You were so upset… How dare he? You went immediately to Eliza and started narrating (almost shouting) to her about what of a j*rk he was and all that you could remember… You were almost crying… How could he?
Gilbert was in about the same situation as you… His friends tried to be compassionate…
"Oh come on, mon ami… There are so many girls in this school that would kill to hang out with you… And you are upset because of that ______..."
"Si… It's not like you really liked her…" he then looked at Antonio with teary eyes…
"Ay mios dio, amigo… You didn't like her… You LOVED HER…"
"Wh-what… But…?" The Frenchman paused and smirked "I knew it…"
"I-I dunno guys… In fact… After this incident I started to feel like this about her… I cannot stop thinking about her dammit…" He then covered his face with his hands….
The other two patted his back…
"L'amour est one strange thing, mon ami…"
"I agree…"
The days passed and you acted like there was no Gilbert around… Or at least you tried… And Gilbert didn't come to talk to you… He wanted to apologise, but he couldn't… He glanced at you a lot of times…  
After a month of the incident, the glances, the pain and the silence continued, until one new kid came into your class… He was… cute…  Since he came you were a lot of happier and you were really good friends… Gilbert hated that guy… He wanted to punch him and just move him away from you… But he couldn't….  One day, this good friend of yours asked you out… You said yes… He was always there for you and he made you happy… Your mind said yes, but a part of your heart was unsure about something… Something was missing? Something was wrong? You didn't know... You just took the piece of advice your mind gave you as well as the piece of advice Eliza and Roderich offered you wholeheartedly...
The day of your date had come and you were ready to join David (that was his name) at your favorite café, as you had planned, after school…
In the mean time, Prussia had taken an important decision… He would confess to you his love…  He searched for you outside your class, next to your locker, everywhere, but you were nowhere to be found… Then he saw Eliza…
"Hey! Hey you! Eliza is it?"
"Yes…Eliza… Should I ask what do you want from me?"
"_______ …Where is she?"
"None of your business… Especially after what you said to her…"
"I know… I was wrong… Please tell me where I can find her…"
"Hell No! And I suggest you leave her alone… She is happy now… She is on a date… "
"With that David guy? But he is an idiot… I mean David? What kind of a name is this?"
"I think it's fine and so does _______...!"
"I will find _______ and when I do, I will punch that 'David'-guy's face…"  He starts walking rapidly, even though he does not know where to go…

*Back to the present*

"I WON'T LET YOU DESTROY MY BEST FRIEND'S DATE, GOT IT? YOU BE-" she was interrupted by Prussia, as he covered her mouth with his hand…
"You don't get it… *sigh* I don't want to destroy her...date… It's just that I…. I love her…"
"You WHAT? You want me to believe that?"
"It's true… I  love her… I cannot stop thinking about her… I see her every day and I cannot even talk to her… It is a torture… I want to hug her and… *sigh and pause* And I can't focus to any other girl… I just… See her…"
"w-wow… Gilbert… that was… Nice… I have to admit, you thought about it a little bit late… but… Listen…! She is with David right now… You will find her at her favorite café… The one at the end of the street… 4 blocks from here…"
"I'd better hurry!" He turned to leave…
"Hey Gilbert!"
"Yes?"
"Your zipper is open…"
He looks at his zipper…. He blushes a bit  "Danke…."
Eliza giggles and Gilbirt smiles at her… Then he starts running as fast as he can…
Roderich finally found Eliza and saw Gilbirt running…
"Where is he going?"
"To find love…."
Roderich smiles: "I knew they would end up together some time…"
*In the café*
You were talking with David about many random things… You really enjoyed his company, but you realized that this was the only thing you could feel about him… Friendship…
Random thoughts about that specific German guy passed through your mind, but you deleted them as fast as you could… You saw outside the window… The street, the passengers… David was talking to you, but you couldn't focus…
"________ do you  listen to me?"
"E-Ehm… Not exactly…Listen, David… You are really nice and kind, but… even though I don't want to hurt you… I can see you only as my friend… Nothing less, nothing more…" You hated it that you had to break somebody's heart… And not just somebody's… Your friend's…
He smiled "It's ok… I understand… Tell me… It's about that Gilbert guy, isn't it?"
"What? No… Why would you think that?"
"Don't try to hide _______.... I know you really well…"
"Well… I am terrible, aren't I?"
"Naaaah… Come here…" He motioned you to hug him and you did so…
You said you were tired and you had to go home… He smiled and you started walking outside the café when this familiar guy showed up…
"Hey you! Stay away from her!" He said as he pushed David away…
"Hey chill, dude… It's not what you thi-"
You went between them just to separate them…
"Gilbert! What are you doing?"
"______ You need to listen"
"To listen? What? That you wanted me for your puppy?"
"No… No… Please forgive me about that… I mean, I am so sorry… "
"You should!"
"I know…But, especially after the incident that day I… I dunno…  Something changed… Something changed in me, frau… I couldn't forget you… Your words… Your face… I couldn't stop thinking about you ______..."
"Where do you want to conclude Gilbert?"
" What I want to say…with few words…is…"
"Yeah?"
"Is that Ich liebe dich… I love you, ________... I love it when you are angry, I love it when you are trying to ignore me, I love it when you want me to leave and you do that weird face… But what I love more is your smile, your laugh and of course the way you call my name… When you don't call me an idiot…" you both smile at this comment "You are one of the few people as awesome as I am… I dunno… I just love you…."
You couldn't speak… You just gazed…. The horizon? Him? You didn't even know… You didn't even care…  
"Gi-Gilbert... I… I had no idea…" you pause as you soften your face and smile "I love you too, Gilbert…"
You both hugged each other in a tight and long hug, in front of David's eyes, that smiled as he started walking away… He winked at you and you offered him a grin…
Gilbert then made a step backwards, looked into your eyes with affection, smiled and kissed you…  You kissed him back, and ignored the fact that you were in the middle of the street… Sounds were nowhere to be heard… Your logic was nowhere to be found…  Just 3 words, 2 people and 1 kiss…  
This time you listened to your heart and you don't regret it… You never will….
